For the Internationale Bauausstellung München – IBA, we are reimagining small-scale mobility spots — such as bus stops — as multifunctional third spaces that foster social interaction and strengthen local identity. Together with residents, we aim to redefine and redesign mobility hubs so that they go beyond pure functionality and become places that invite connection and community.

The project unfolds in three phases:
- Site Selection & Analysis – We identify locations with potential for transformation and explore local needs, characteristics, and resources to support high-quality, sustainable mobility.
- Co-Creation – In close collaboration with residents and local stakeholders, we design new hubs that integrate emerging mobility trends and reflect the community’s aspirations.
- Design & Implementation – We create distinctive micro-hubs that act as social meeting points and enrich the public realm.
By combining mobility with place-making, these micro-hubs will serve as vibrant connectors in everyday life — shaping not only how we move, but also how we meet and engage in our neighborhoods.
